Be the Change

Florida Career College is committed to supporting racial equality.

We stand in solidarity with the African American community for social justice.

Katiana D.

West Palm Beach Campus Finalist

"No justice, no peace" is the only voice that we have as African Americans. We have been dealing with injustice for so long that we've gotten to a point where silence is not the solution anymore. It's time for us to speak up so our voices can be heard.

Police brutality referring to George Floyd's death had a big impact on me and on society. It is a sin, unfairness, and wrongdoing against others and God. All human beings should have just relations between the individual and society including the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more. We as a school can promote racial equality by treating all staff and learners fairly. We can create an inclusive culture for all staff and learners, ensuring equal access to opportunities to allow learners to fully participate in the learning process. Communities are able to respond by making changes in the time and location of activities by using different species, and by organizing themselves internally or in networks.
